  • Farmers Market at the Riverfront: The Farmers Market is officially back! Shop like it’s summer and peruse local vendors, fresh fruits and veggies, and more from 8am-1pm at the Riverfront!

  • Record Store Day at the Record Bar: Spin something new when you shop for special sales for Record Store Day! Stop by all day to find your new favorite song and take it home with you!

  • Caliente Nights at Brunches at Randall: Dance like nobody’s watching at Caliente Nights! Wilmington Latin Dance is supporting The Carousel Center for Child Abuse and Assault Prevention during the month. Be part of the good when you stop by from 8pm-12am. Tickets are available now!

  • Bloom Boom Corner Market at Flytrap Brewing: Stop by for two hands-on experiences! Learn how to pour your own candle and try out a fermentation class. After, grab a beer or a bite from a food truck as you listen to live music!

  • It’s Music Bingo Night at Cody’s: Name that tune in Carolina Beach! Stop by Cody’s for music bingo hosted by Top Shelf Trivia! Play from 9-11pm.

  • Adult Play Date at Long Leaf Park: It’s Earth Day! Make like a kid and get outside to play! Play hopscotch and frisbee and participate in a tofu-eating contest! Stop by from 12-2pm.

Sunday, April 19

  • The Wave Market at The Pointe at Barclay: Stop by to shop more than 30 local vendors to find something amazing and unique! As you peruse the selection of special finds, stop in a local restaurant for a drink or bite to eat! The market is from 11am-3pm.

  • Don’t Tell Comedy at The Cargo District: Don’t Tell Comedy is a special kind of comedy show! The performers and location of the show will be kept secret until the morning of… the only thing guaranteed is plenty of laughs! Get your ticket today!

  • Beginner Line Dancing Lesson at Smoke on the Water: Things are heating up in the River Lights district! Stop by Smoke on the Water for a beginner’s line dancing lesson! Grab food and a cocktail while you’re there — dancing starts at 1pm!

  • 6th Annual Dad Bod Carwash at Good Hops Brewing: Stop by Good Hops for a brew and a view! The annual Dad Bod Carwash will take place in the parking lot to support pediatric cancer awareness, and will also feature live music, a raffle, and more! The carwash is 12-2pm.

Shake Shack sets opening date: Port City is getting a Shake Shack! The restaurant is set to open on April 22 on Military Cutoff Road.

New BBQ restaurant comes to Wilmington: A new barbecue joint will be opening in the place of the former restaurant “The Smoke House.” Heritage BBQ is planned to open in this location.

Medical school plans to come to UNCW: UNCW is branching out its offerings for future students with the plans to open a medical school. The first students will enroll in August 2029.
