Thursday, April 9

  • Thursday Throwdown at Axes & Allies: Warm up your good arm! It’s Thursday Throwdown, and you’re invited to join the weekly double-elimination axethrowing contest. No registration is required — this event is open to all! Just pay $15 to play!

  • The Sidecar Show at Waterline Brewing: Get ready to laugh! Daredevil Improv Comedy is putting on an experimental improv comedy show starting at 8pm. This is a FREE event to laugh like you never have before!

  • Thursday Trivia at Outer Dunes: Are you feeling lucky? Put your knowledge to the test with host Brendan Callahan and grab a bite from a local food truck while you’re there. Trivia starts at 7:30pm.

  • Music Bingo at Island Beverage: Name that tune! Top Shelf Trivia will be spinning tunes all evening — see how many you know! Trivia starts at 6:30pm.

  • T’ai Chi at Salty Dog Yoga and Surf: Stretch it out with some meaningful movement! Sign up today to drop in for a single T’ai Chi class or to participate in the 4-week series. Class is 1-2pm.

Friday, April 10

  • Luncheon Garden Party at Airlie Gardens: Grab a big hat — we’re lunching in the gardens! Kick off Azalea Fest weekend in style with this special networking event. Enjoy cocktails, BBQ, and good company as you mingle! Gates open at 10:15am.

  • Bike Night at Waterline Brewing Company: Nothing says summer like bike night! Roll up on two wheels or stroll in for an evening of tasty food, good drinks, and better company! Stop by from 5-8pm.

  • Wizard of Oz at Thalian Hall: This weekend, you’ll be off to see the wizard! Get your ticket today to watch the live performance of the classic tale, The Wizard of Oz, at 7:30pm.

  • Garden Party at The Bend: It’s that time of year again! Join The Bend for their second annual Garden Party. Listen to live tunes, sip on a cocktail, make a flower crown, and more from 4pm-close!

  • Spring Plant Sale at The Hobby Greenhouse Club: Bring home something green from 9am-6pm at the Spring Plant Sale! Chat with local plant lovers, grab a free plant, and learn something new while you’re there!

  • Street Fair at NC Azalea Fest: Wander the streets of Wilmington and find something special to take home! Shop more than 150 local vendors, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the beautiful weather all day long.

Saturday, April 11

  • Strawberry Festival at Waterline Brewing: It’s strawberry season in the South! Snack on all things sweet and fresh at the strawberry festival! While you’re there, stop at the petting zoo, grab a bite to eat, and shop local vendors.

  • Boom and Bloom Bonanza at the Battleship: The annual Azalea Festival fireworks are back over the water this year at the Battleship! Head down to this piece of history and get a free folding chair, a bag of popcorn, music, and dancing with your ticket. Get yours today!

  • Alt-zalea Fest at the Brooklyn Arts District: Do you want to celebrate Spring in your own way? Join the Alt-zalea Fest for a full day of live musical acts, food and drink specials, and family-friendly fun! The fest starts at 12pm.

  • Spring Tides Market at Recon Surf: Spring has sprung! Enjoy the weather with a morning of yoga, coffee, and supporting local! Stop by from 9am-1pm.

  • Azalea Festival Parade at Downtown Wilmington: Kick off the NC Azalea Festival with the annual parade! Spend time downtown for floats, Queen Azalea, marching groups, and more. The parade starts at 9:30am.

  • Snack and Shop at Blue Moon Gift Shop: The only thing better than spring cleaning is spring SHOPPING! Spend your Saturday right with some shopping at Blue Moon Gift Shop, followed by a cookie tasting onsite from Pecano’s. Stop by from 11am-3pm.

‘Blade Runner Live’ comes to Wilmington: The live ‘Blade Runner’ experience is coming to Wilmington at Cape Fear Community College this November. As the film plays, a live orchestra will accompany it with music.
