Local arts pub reopens in a new way: Encore Magazine is coming back to the Wilmington area as a nonprofit. The publication, 35 years old before it’s publication, is now revamped and set to release again on January 29 for the first time in six years.

Loaded fries eatery opens in the Cargo District: Booom Kitchen, lead by a father and son, is opening in the Cargo District with a fun twist on loaded fries. Stop by Monday-Sunday, 11am-8pm.

Warming shelter reopening to combat cold temperatures: The warming shelter at Grace United Methodist Church is reopening January 18-21 for three consecutive nights to support unhoused populations through the frosty weekend. There are no barriers to entry.
