New Wilmington-based holiday movie releases trailer: The new Amazon Prime holiday movie “Merv”, starring Zooey Deschanel, was filmed in parts of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The trailer dropped on Tuesday, and the film will be available for streaming on December 10.

Feast Down East now offering free food to SNAP recipients: With the recent pause of SNAP benefits, Feast Down East nonprofit is offering $50 of free local food to SNAP recipients. Recipients can shop for food through the Local Motive Mobile Farmers’ Market.
